Club Brugge KV secured a 3-1 victory over Antwerp in the sixth matchday of the Jupiler Pro League on Saturday, 13 September 2026. Hugo Vetlesen opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 13th minute after also winning the kick that led to the decision.

Antwerp responded quickly and equalised in the 19th minute through Snayder Porozo, who finished off an assist from Taishi Brandon Nozawa. Club Brugge regained the lead shortly after halftime when Vetlesen struck again in the 50th minute on a swift counterattack.

Head coach Ivan Leko made four changes to maintain control: Jorne Spileers came on for Hugo Siquet in the 41st minute, while Nicolo Tresoldi, Cheveyo Tsawa and Tian Nai Koren replaced Romeo Vermant, Félix Lemaréchal and Hugo Vetlesen in the 74th and 87th minutes. Mamadou Diakhon also entered for Jan Virgili Tenas in the 87th minute, shortly after the latter had scored Brugge’s third goal with an assist from Joaquin Seys in the 78th minute.

Club Brugge dominated possession with 58 percent and created chances through 23 shots, nine of which were on target. Antwerp remained dangerous with 17 shots but managed only five on target. Both sides received three yellow cards: for Brugge it was Spileers (53'), Vermant (58') and Vetlesen (80'), while Antwerp saw Renders (45+4'), Busi (70') and Vermeeren (77') cautioned.

With this win, Club Brugge remains third in the league table with twelve points from five games, four points behind leaders Union St. Gilloise.
